BackgroundImageRotator Stack

rotate full screen background images

The BackgroundImageRotator Stack makes it possible to make a full screen, responsive background image slide show. It has a load of options to tailor it to your needs:
  • 19 different types of animations and loads of other options
  • controls (previous/next, play/pause, navigation dots)
  • an overlay with a static text, a static image (see demo #8 and demo #9) and/or a background color (see demo #10 and demo #11)
  • and much more…
See the image of the HUD for all possibilities.

You can see the result of this stack with its default settings on this page, but please visit the demo pages to see the many possibilities of this stack in action.

To add items to this stack, click the plus button at the bottom. Don’t drag stacks or images into this stack!
To prevent slow loading of the page, don’t make your images bigger than necessary. A size of around 1500×1000px@72dpi wil usually do. Don’t forget to optimize them.
If you use many images, the navigation dots may no longer fit on one line on small screens. You can hide them below a set screen width, but make sure show the controls or enable autoplay in that case!

Need help using it on a non-stacks page? Here’s a tutorial.

When using navigations dots and/or controls, those elements often cover the bottom of the page. You can make room at the bottom of the page, but this may not work with every theme. Selecting try harder often helps.
  • In Internet Explorer 9 and worse, the content will be shown in succession, but without the fancy animations.
Tip: are big parts of your background covered with solid color theme items? My free SetOpacity Stack can usually make them semi-transparent.
With Javascript turned off, this stack will not work.
